## Problems

- **Tools Picked One at a Time** Domain, email, site, booking and payments, each with a different company.

- **A Client Finds the Break First** A vendor changes or a card expires, and booking emails stop arriving. [Read the case](https://varstatt.com/jurij/p/the-tiny-app-that-eliminated-a-shipping)

- **The Freelancer Left With the Logins** Each fix starts with explaining the whole setup to someone new.

- **A Bill for Every Tool** Each one adds a login, a renewal and one more thing to break. [Read the case](https://varstatt.com/jurij/p/how-we-built-a-zero-cost-cms-portfolio)

## Nobody Owns the Whole Setup

| Route | What It Is | The Catch |
|---|---|---|
| Doing It Yourself | Evenings in settings pages | Time you'd rather spend on clients |
| Tech Consultant | Advice on which tools to use | The setup is still yours |
| Hourly Freelancer | Fixes one thing, then moves on | You explain the setup again each time |
| Full-Time Tech Hire | A salary | Work comes in bursts, the salary doesn't |
| **Varstatt** | Setup from one person, a week at a time | One job a week |

## Your Setup, One Task at a Time

- [x] Map of every tool, login and cost

- [ ] Email on your own domain

- [ ] A booking page that takes payment

- [ ] A newsletter signup that lands in one list

- [ ] Every login in your own password manager

Domains, accounts and keys are [yours from day one](https://varstatt.com/principles/philosophy/client-owns-everything).

## Small Setups That Last

- **5 years** A shipping tool in daily use

- **About $3** A month to run that tool

- **$0** A month for hosting and content

Read [the shipping tool](https://varstatt.com/jurij/p/the-tiny-app-that-eliminated-a-shipping) and [the zero-cost site](https://varstatt.com/jurij/p/how-we-built-a-zero-cost-cms-portfolio).

## Who It's For

**Right For**

- Selling through your own site, calendar and payment links

- Setups that grew one tool at a time

- Setups whose freelancer left with the logins

- New businesses that want it set up right once

**Better Elsewhere**

- Laptops, printers, office networks, device repair *A local provider*

- WordPress themes and plugins, a builder site kept as it is

- A 24/7 help desk

## How It Works

A simple, predictable and transparent process that eliminates development headaches.

1. **Book** — Pay for the week and you get a dedicated task board. Work starts the next working day.
2. **Setup** — You invite me to your accounts. I map every tool, login and cost, and fix what's urgent first.
3. **Plan & Develop** — The map becomes a plan: keep, connect, replace or cut. You approve it and set the order.
4. **Review & Refine** — You try each change in your real workflow. I revise until you're satisfied.
5. **Progress** — You approve finished work. Book another week for the next tasks.
6. **Maintain** — Something breaks later? Book a week; steady work can run by the week.

## FAQ

### What does tech support cost?

$997 for a week of work, one payment, [never by the hour](/principles/philosophy/hours-wrong). One fix fits in one week.

### What tech stack do I need?

One tool per job: a domain with email, a site, booking, payments, a client list and one place for automations. I [consolidate](/principles/philosophy/consolidation) before I add.

### What do you set up?

Every tool in that stack, connected so a client is entered once. Zapier or Make flows you run, I fix or move; a builder or WordPress site I connect but don't maintain.

### Is AI replacing tech support?

Partly: a chatbot can explain how to point a domain at a site. It won't trace why booking emails stopped, fix it, and still know your setup next month.

### What if something breaks?

Book a week, and I [restore it first, then find why it broke](/principles/diligence/incident-response).

### Will I understand the setup?

Yes. The map is written for you, and each change comes with its reason. [You decide](/principles/philosophy/client-decides).

### What if it doesn't work out?

I revise until you're satisfied. Nothing renews, and the map and logins go to anyone you choose.

### How do I get started?

Fill in the [project form](/start?cta=tech-setup-faq), about a minute: the tools you run and what broke last. I reply the next working day; if it fits, with a first plan and a call invite.
