Animate bubble charts from CSV, where bubble size is the value as it changes over time. Play it fullscreen. Your data stays local.

How It Works

Load your CSV data

Same CSV format as the other chart race tools. First column is the time label, remaining columns are numeric data series.

Watch bubbles animate

Press play or Space. Circle sizes represent values — larger values produce larger bubbles. Each bubble keeps its place for the whole run and grows or shrinks as the animation plays.

Tune it and present

The gear sets max bubbles (5, 8, 10 or 15, the series with the highest peaks), one of 4 color palettes and the value format. Press f or the fullscreen button to fill the screen. There is no export: screen-record the fullscreen view.

FAQ

The radius grows with the square root of the value, on one scale for the whole run set by the highest value any shown series reaches. This keeps large values from visually dominating the chart. Every bubble has a minimum radius of 15% of the largest, so small values look bigger than their share: a value at 10% of the highest peak fills about 18% of the largest bubble's area, and a value of 0 or below still draws a small bubble.
Each name sits above its bubble in the bubble's color, and the value sits inside in white. There is no setting to move them.
